What does Smart Storage actually do?
Upload personal or business files and Smart Storage turns their contents into a persistent, correctable data layer. The resulting records can be searched, reviewed, and reused for reports, visualizations, exports, and AI-connected workflows without rebuilding the data each time.
What can I upload?
Receipts, invoices, payslips, income and bank statements, transaction records, and contracts — as PDF, photo (JPG/PNG/HEIC/WEBP), CSV, or Excel, up to 60 MB each. Snap a photo of a receipt or drop in a whole spreadsheet; both work.
What reports do I get?
Five ready-made templates built from your own documents: Expense Summary, Income Summary, Profit & Loss, Contract Summary, and Key Terms. You can also save reports that rerun on current data and reconcile two sources side by side. Export as PDF and JSON, with CSV available for supported templates.
Can I export to QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes — Smart Storage generates import-ready files for QuickBooks (3- and 4-column) and Xero, so your bookkeeping tool gets clean data without manual entry. (These are files you import; live two-way sync is on the roadmap.)

Free is for trying it out — 10 documents a month. What is the Claude connector — and why is it a big deal?
It connects Smart Storage directly to Claude, so your structured records become something you can just talk to. Instead of opening dashboards and clicking through exports, you ask — "summarize my 2025 expenses" or "give me a QuickBooks export for this quarter" — and Claude does it against your own account, right in the chat. It turns a multi-step workflow into a single sentence.
What can I actually do from inside Claude?
Claude can add files, inspect your folders and data model, preview and save mappings, relationships and reusable datasets, save and run report definitions, manage dashboard pages and visuals, reconcile sources, and generate supported exports. Corrections stay in the web app, so a person confirms changed values there.
Why use Smart Storage if I can just upload files to Claude directly?
Because Smart Storage is the persistent data layer behind the conversation. Upload a file once and its records stay organized, inspectable, correctable, and available as your history grows. Claude can then work from that governed, up-to-date evidence instead of starting again with a loose set of chat attachments. Using both is the point: Smart Storage preserves the source and structure; Claude reasons and acts on it.
How does Smart Storage improve an AI workflow over time?
The durable parts of your workflow live outside the model's context window: source files, structured records, mappings, corrections, report definitions, and evidence. That means an AI assistant can retrieve the current, relevant state instead of burning tokens retracing old conversations or re-learning the same rules every session. Smart Storage also carries scope, timestamps, and coverage warnings, so older or incomplete context is not silently presented as current truth.
Do I need to be technical to connect Claude?
No. In Claude you choose "Add custom connector," paste one URL, and sign in with the email on your AVIntelligence account. No keys, no code, no setup — about a minute.
Which plan do I need for the Claude connector?
New accounts get 14 days of Claude connector access, starting the first time you connect. Continued access is included with Pro.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Each account's documents are isolated at the database level, processing runs server-side, and the Claude connection uses secure OAuth sign-in — AVIntelligence never sees your password, and the connector only ever touches your own account. Read tools never change data. Tools that save or archive objects are explicitly labelled with MCP permission hints so compatible clients can request confirmation; your source files are never modified.
What if I have expenses in more than one currency?
Your dashboards handle multiple currencies. Money totals remain separated by currency, and unsupported or incomplete rows are disclosed rather than silently mixed into totals.
How accurate is the extraction, and what if something's off?
High-confidence items flow straight through; anything uncertain is flagged for you to review and reclassify, so a questionable line never quietly lands in a report. You always keep control of the final numbers.
